Brewers catcher Yasmani Grandal has bigger things on his mind than another NL championship ring

Yasmani Grandal was presented with his 2018 National League championship ring Friday afternoon but didn’t seem too excited about that piece of jewelry.
“I’ve already got one of those,” he said. “Those rings don’t really matter. I’ve got two of those now. I want the other one (a World Series ring).
“Hopefully, next time I get there, I’m able to finish it out.”
Grandal was presented the ring by Los Angeles Dodgers president Andrew Friedman and manager Dave Roberts. But, after consecutive pennant-winning seasons and four years overall with the Dodgers, the veteran catcher now is wearing the uniform of the team they beat last fall in the NLCS – the Milwaukee Brewers.
It had to feel odd to return to Dodger Stadium as an opponent, but Grandal downplayed that situation as well.
BOX SCORE: Brewers 8, Dodgers 5
