Brexit: I had no choice but to approach Labour – May

Prime Minister Theresa May has insisted she had to reach out to Labour in a bid to deliver Brexit or risk letting it “slip through our fingers”.
In a statement on Saturday night, Mrs May said there was a “stark choice” of either leaving the European Union with a deal or not leaving at all.
Some Conservatives have criticised her for seeking Labour’s help after MPs rejected her Brexit plan three times.
Three days of talks between the parties ended without agreement on Friday.
Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn said he was “waiting to see the red lines move” and had not “noticed any great change in the government’s position”.

NASA Says Fraudulent Supplier Caused It to Lose Two Climate Satellites, Wasting Over $700 Million

NASA has found its loss of two 92-foot Taurus rockets—as well as the climate-monitoring satellites they were carrying—in 2009 and 2011 was due to a supplier that falsified test data about frangible joints that were supposed to split and release the rockets’ fairings, according to Quartz. According to a NASA Launch Services Program (LSP) report released on April 30, agency engineers have determined that Oregon aluminum extrusion manufacturer Sapa Profiles, Inc. (ISP) had doctored failed test results, swapped out measurements from acceptably-made batches, or altered the conditions of testing to ensure a favorable result. They then shipped out the poorly-made parts to clients, one of which was Orbital Sciences (now Orbital ATK), the manufacturer of Taurus rockets. Porto goalkeeper Casillas suffers heart attack but is in stable condition

Porto tweeted a message of support to Casillas followed by a statement confirming the goalkeeper is in stable condition. “Iker Casillas suffered a heart attack during a training session on Wednesday morning, at the Porto training centre in Olival,” a statement read. “The session was brought to a prompt end to attend to the Porto goalkeeper, who is now at the CUF Porto Hospital. “Casillas is well, stable and with the heart problem having been resolved.” Former club Real Madrid also released a statement on Casillas’ behalf, as well as Real’s eternal rivals Barcelona, the Portuguese League, and Spain’s La Liga.
